The Milwaukee Cement Company, illustrated here, was incorporated in 1876. Its main office was located at 154 West Water Street.

The current Milwaukee County Courthouse was completed in 1931. To the left of the courthouse is a large complex that houses the Milwaukee County Jail, as well as the county Safety Building.
Milwaukee County Emergency and Dispensary Hospital
The Milwaukee County Emergency and Dispensary Hospital was completed in 1928 and operated until 1983. It was then sold to the Milwaukee Public School System and currently houses the Milwaukee Academy of Chinese Language.

Milwaukee County School of Agriculture and Domestic Economy
The Eschweiler Buildings on the Milwaukee County Grounds, such as this abandoned Milwaukee County School of Agriculture and Domestic Economy building, have been the focus of historic preservation efforts.
The Milwaukee Cricket Club, pictured here in 1908, was part of the Tri-City League, along with teams from Kenosha and Racine. That year, the Milwaukee Club had a record of one win and seven losses.
