The construction of the Milwaukee Arena, completed in 1950, was one of the first major initiatives for which the Greater Milwaukee Committee advocated. It is now known as the UWM Panther Arena.

The Milwaukee Ballet Company has been headquartered at 128 N. Jackson Street since the 1980s. This building was historically owned by the Schlitz Brewing Company. A new dance center in the city's Third Ward is set to open in 2019.

A work crew at the Fiserv Forum updating the "History in the Making Sign" the morning after the Milwaukee Bucks won the 2021 National Basketball Association championship for the first time in 50 years.
Building regulations, such as housing codes, categorized and quantified physical characteristics of structures in Milwaukee. This building, from the 1400 block of North 6th Street, was in such poor condition that it was razed soon after this photograph was taken in 1947.
