Established in the late 1860s, the Wisconsin Seaman's Friend Society aimed to provide sailors with affordable lodgings away from the influences of gambling, drinking, and prostitution. This Temperance House stood on Erie Street.

Constructed in 1955 as the gymnasium for St. John’s Cathedral High School, this building on N. Jackson Street now houses Tenor School, one of Milwaukee’s area charter schools.

Skylight Music Theatre offers two different theaters inside its facilities on N. Broadway. The Cabot Theatre, pictured here, is a replica of a 18th-century European opera house and seats 358.

The Fitzgerald House was designed by E. Townsend Mix and built in 1874. Robert Patrick Fitzgerald was an Irish immigrant who became a wealthy ship captain and maritime merchant on the Great Lakes.
