Prior to its razing in 1955, the Mitchell Park Conservatory featured large sunken gardens through which visitors could walk.

As the Concordia neighborhood changed over the course of the twentieth century, more multi-family residences began to appear. This 2016 photograph illustrates the corner of W. Kilbourn Avenue and 28th Street.
This photograph features the first Modjeska Theater, which stood from 1910 to 1923. The building was then razed and replaced with the new Modjeska Theater in 1924.

The Montag-Boogk Home, maintained by the Greenfield Historical Society, originally stood on the corner of present-day S. 60th Street and W. Cold Spring Road.

This 1889 photograph features the Morris Pratt Institute, the only Spiritualist college in the United States, at its original location in Whitewater. The institute still exists today and is now located in Wauwatosa.

Mrs. Johnson at Horticultural Conservatory Dedication
This photograph was taken on First Lady Lady Bird Johnson's beautification tour of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 21, 1965. In this photograph, Mrs. Johnson attends the dedication of the Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory. During her trip, she addressed the American Institute of Park Executives and toured the Boerner Botanical Gardens.
