Since 1988, Milwaukee's annual PrideFest has become an ever-growing staple to the city's festival scene. This neon display is from the 2018 celebration.
By the early twentieth century, nearly all of the natural woodlands in Milwaukee, as seen here flanking the Milwaukee River, were gone.

The North Avenue Dam, in place since 1891, was partially removed in 1994 and fully removed in 1997 to help improve the river’s water quality. A pedestrian bridge is now in place near the former dam site, which connects the two sides of the RiverWalk.

This 1910 postcard showcases the large Milwaukee Road station once located on W. Everett Street. It was designed by prominent architect E. Townsend Mix and first opened in 1886.

This 1983 photograph provides a look inside the railway's sheet metal shop located on W. Canal Street. Before it was the sheet metal shop, this structure housed the car paint and repair shop.
